Join Red Team Consulting, LLC for a breakfast talk presentation by Berenzweig Leonard, LLP on effective strategies for debriefings and bid protests. Berenzweig Leonard is a client-focused business law firm whose deep familiarity with employment and labor law, business litigation, government contracts, and high-level transactional work make it ideally suited to effectively serve specialized industries such as government contracts.

Your company dedicated significant time and resources to developing a proposal and has just been notified of the government’s award decision. Whether your company received the contract or not, it is important to obtain any required debriefing and consider whether to file a bid protest or participate as an intervenor in a protest of the award. In this session, Berenzweig Leonard will:

• Discuss fine points of the FAR debriefing rules so that a contractor can ensure that it receives all the information it is promised under the FAR
• Explain why a debriefing may have a limited value as a litigation tool and should therefore be approached as a marketing opportunity for building a relationship with the government buyer
• Identify common traps that would-be protestors should be aware of when filing a bid protest is necessary
• Explain why an awardee should get involved as an intervenor should its contract award be protested by a disappointed offeror

Participants will be able to apply these insights to enhance their marketing efforts, avoid traps that might doom an otherwise successful protest and chance at an automatic stay of contract performance, and protect their interests as an intervenor in the event of a protest to their contract award.
